I know what I did last… Easter February 23, 2012

It’s really nice to remind yourself of nice trips you have had and this one is the perfect example. During the last Easter holidays I had the opportunity to visit a mountain village of northern Greece and stay there for 5 days with a few friends of mine. One of my friends origins from that village and owns a beautiful house up there so we were offered his hospitality.
It is a great feeling waking up, having your breakfast by the fireplace, grabbing your rod and have to walk only 5 minutes to get to the river and fish. But I think I would better stop writing and have the photos to speak the words for me.

I am glad you liked it. I really had a great time on this trip and I am looking forward to visiting that place again… I feel the same way about Norway. I ‘ve seen a couple of fly fishing films that were shot in Norway and I have to say that your country is a earthly paradise.

Wow, I had no idea Greece looked like that. All that whitewater, rocky slopes, pine trees. I’ll be it’s a joy to fish that beautiful river. Thanks for the pictures!

I always knew that Greece has beautiful mountains and rivers, but I had to start fly fishing to really discover it. It really is a joy to fish rivers like that! Especially when you have days to spend and fish the river in different locations, trying different flies.

What a great blog.
I am on holiday this year on Lefkas Island and near to Parga on the mainland. Years ago I fished a beautiful river that borddered Albania. I hope to do so again this year (May)

Lefkadha is a gorgeous island and I have to visit it someday too. May is one of the best times of the year for trout fishing in Greece. I am sure you will have a great time!
